One of the highlights of the Club’s year is its New Year’s Day Open House, when all areas of the Club, including the kitchen, are open for tours, and over 1,600 meals are served. On this day, members and their guests enjoy musical entertainment, family portraits, impressive culinary displays and an extremely festive atmosphere.

The Club’s Wine Society, with over 300 members, boasts the largest enrollment of any private club wine society in America. The Wine Society hosts wine tastings, dinners, classes and tours that provide members the opportunity to broaden their horizons regarding wines and the regions in which they are produced. The Art Society, with 175 members, hosts art-related lectures, exhibits, receptions and tours of private collections. The Rod & Gun Society, with 100 members, hosts fly fishing trips, sporting clays shoots, bird hunts, speakers, game dinners, and youth outings.

On Mother’s Day, members’ families gather to celebrate the important women in their lives. Each spring, fathers escort their daughters and granddaughters to the Father-Daughter Dinner. Members’ children look forward to a visit with Santa, as well as brunch, cookie decorating and live performances, at the annual Children’s Holiday Party. The Seafood Buffet, which quarterly offers the best selection of seafood in Pittsburgh and is always a sell-out, is a perfect way to entertain guests at the Club.

Members and their guests take pleasure in hitting the greens for some friendly competition at the Annual Golf Classic, tackling some of the area's finest streams with the Anglers Society, and enjoying the great outdoors during sporting clays shoots.

The Duquesne Club hosts nearly 100 social events each year, designed to appeal to a variety of interests.
